Spectacle Meets Thom Browne

As Spectacle enters its second decade as a company we are expanding our family to include a few new faces, such as our newest exclusive addition Thom Browne.

Thom has been called the designer of the last decade and has many fans in the fashion industry including Donna Karen,Anna Wintour and the brain trust behind Nom De Guerre. You can also count the Spectacle team as big fans of Thom's work and after peeping his designs (which are produced by the fine people at Dita) you can see why..........

Bold and distinct with a definite NYC feel to them the Thom Browne x Dita collection can only be seen in Toronto at our West Queen West flagship at the moment but can be viewed at either our Yonge St or Distillery District boutiques by request whenever you like.

New Year, New Chrome Hearts

Spectacle is celebrating the upcoming new year by restocking one of the most prestigious of our collection, Chrome Hearts.

Considered by some people like Karl Lagerfeld to be the most important brand in the world today we here at Spectacle sure do dig them as well!!!

Below you'll find the staffs picks of the best of the best from our new order.

The Home Plate. - Complete w piano varnish temples and a metal front this combination frame is sure to be a home run with who ever wears it.

The Beast III - The Beast is the king of the Chrome Hearts jungle, the 3rd generation of this design carries over the awesome features from the first two. A curved frame front accented by temples featuring Chrome Hearts motif on both the front and back make sure people know that these are the big frames on campus.

The Hag. Another from the amazing CH aviator collection, this one is a little more squared out with daggers on the side making them sick, twisted and bad to know!

The Chrome Hearts pictured in this blog are all at Spectacle Queen St but we do house the collection at all of our stores because Spectacle Loves You.

All locations will be open Dec 24th & 31st until 4:30pm.

The Distillery District will be open Boxing Day from 12 - 5pm

Queen St will be open Boxing Day from 12 - 6pm

Yonge St will be CLOSED Boxing Day & January 2nd

New Tidings from Oliver Peoples!

Oliver Peoples Vintage Collection, following on their successful release this summer, are continuing the revival of classic shapes now in store at Spectacle on Queen Street West!

"The Round" part of the Soloist Collection.

The pieces in the Vintage Collection are recreated using the same meticulous processes and attention to detail that has made Oliver Peoples a leader in the industry.

The MP-2, one of the earliest designs from the company's inception.

Each frame captures the spirit of the original collection and closely resemble the roots of Oliver Peoples 1920's - 1930's Americana, post-industrial revolution aesthetic.

The MP-2 Sun Clip features the same fine detailed metal filigree seen on the frames, detail as only Oliver Peoples can deliver.

We have been a long time supporter of A&V and their designs, in fact you may recall our extreme excitement when we debuted the collection at our Queen St shop earlier in the year.
