Happy birthday to Salvador Dali!  A surrealist painter from Spain, his artistic repertoire includes film, sculpture, photography, and collaborations with many other artists.

Dali was very eccentric and attention-grabbing in public.  He had a strong interest in science and based many of his paintings on scientific publications.

Dali's work even inspired a scene from The Simpsons!

Dali also had a pet ocelot which he named Babou!
