New MOSCOT Spirit and MOSCOT Originals Campaign

The MOSCOT Spirit and MOSCOT Originals collections have recently re-launched with a unique campaign.  The announcement stars identical twins from NYC modelling the pieces.

According to MOSCOT, the idea came up because "like identical twins, the brand new MOSCOT Spirit & Originals Collections share the same great DNA -- the same high quality acetate, real hardware for the sturdiest possible construction, and authentic period details... like identical twins, each Collection also enjoys unique qualities". MOSCOT Summer Campaign Features NYC, Swimmers, and the East River!

The latest MOSCOT campaign features men and women swimmers in the East River in NYC!  It's perfect for summer and is a fun collection.  There are 6 new styles in total so here is a sneak peek!

MOSCOT said of the campaign, "the 2013 MOSCOT Sun collection launches with a quirky and surreal campaign featuring MOSCOT friends & family adrift in the rough, riotous seas... aka... The East River... aka, a pool in Long Island".  So it isn't the real East River, but it's a unique campaign nonetheless!  These new styles will be at Spectacle very soon.

During our recent trip to NYC for Vision Expo East, we stopped by the MOSCOT Orchard Street shop.  We were blown away by Harvey's hospitality and how amazing the shop was!

Kelly Loves MOSCOT!

MOSCOT is the oldest collection we carry at Spectacle and it has rich roots in New York City.  MOSCOT has been around since 1899 when Hyman Moscot arrived in the States from Europe.  The brand was officially created in 1915, and the rest is history!

Due to the brands strong presence in the eyewear industry, it's no wonder why Kelly chose to feature them as her favourite glasses of 2012.

NEW KBL Frames are In!

KBL Shades In-Store

KBL has come out with some cool new sunglasses perfect for summer, and Spectacle has them!  KBL is different in that they design their eyewear beginning with the colours and textures.  The NYC based brand launched in September 2009 and is developed by Adam Mendelsohn and David Barton - both of whom have worked for other companies such as the amazing Oliver Peoples.

KBL's lenses are created from the best resources in the world which are all found throughout Europe and Asia.  Each and every bicolour paint scheme is done by hand masking the end piece from the frame front.  In addition, the enamel fill is also hand applied to every single left temple tip on every single frame!
