Happy Birthday Picasso!

Today is Pablo Picasso's birthday.  Picasso was born in Spain and spent most of his life in France where he became one of the most recognizable and influential artists of all time.

Picasso was famous for exploring different approaches to abstract painting. He is a co-founder of the Cubist movement, the inventor of constructed sculpture, and the co-inventor of the collage.

This is the final weekend to see the Picasso exhibit at the AGO.  The paintings "lay bare the beauty and anxieties of his time, the horrors of war, as well as his personal passions, desires, and fears".
