More Reasons to Love our Favorite Berlin Design House!
Fresh off their recent award-winning appearance at the Silmo Optical Show, I.C. Berlin is riding high with a few new surprises and you can bet Spectacle has got em!
Famous for their light-weight stainless steel construction, each frame is laser cut and assembled without any bolts or solder points. And some of their latest specs have taken that laser cutting even further with unique patterns now etched right onto the steel frames.
Alpenrose
Männertreu
The Alpenrose and Männertreu each feature patterns on the fronts and temples, contrasting the polished steel with finely detailed textures.
Indomptable
Even their luxurious Trés Chic Sunglass Collection features this unique laser-etched styling.
Take a closer look and you can make out the snowflakes across the front of the Alpenrose.
The horizontal pinstripes on the Männertreu contrast the polished finish and in different light have an almost matte appearance.
Sunglasses like the Indomptable show off a range of organic textures like spiderwebs and cracked leather.
These and other classic I.C.Berlin shapes are in stock at Spectacle on Yonge Street as well as our Queen Street and Distillery District locations because Spectacle Loves You!
And for highlights of their award-winning Sunglass check out the Power Law here and some of our other favs here!

S+ARCK's Move into their new Yonge Street Condo!
Spectacle on Yonge street has just unveiled a cozy new display for our collection of Starck frames, and they're making some of the other collections jealous with their swanky new digs!
One of the first, high profile collaborations in the eyewear world, Designer Philippe Starck lends his engineering prowess to eyewear legend Alain Mikli's custom Acetate colours and comfortable fit.
With the addition of the Starck BioLink hinge design, based on the human shoulder joint, the result is STARCK EYES, a line of eyewear unparalleled in comfort, durability and spectacular colours - and that's why Spectacle loves Starck Eyes!
The 0302 model, shown in red and bronze variants, is a semi-rimless design made from titanium and acetate. With it's softer-shaped browline, the 0302 is one of many flattering ladies shapes in the Starck Eyes collection.
The polished metal 0404 sunglass is built for comfort both with it's light weight frame and dark polarized lenses.
Sleek lines and matte finish of the 0404 set it apart from the crowd. Here you can see the temple posed at a 45 degree angle, with the Bio-Link hinge design that temple can rotate 360 degrees without stressing the frame.
These models and many more are in stock at Spectacle on Yonge Street where you always have your pick of a variety of shapes and colours because Spectacle Loves You!
And for a closer look at the unique hinge design, check out our earlier blogs here and here!

Stars of Spectacle's Summer Sale!
Spectacle's Summer Sale continues and as a taste of the selection in store, we thought we'd share some of our fav sunglasses now in stock at each location. First up, some of the stars of the Designer collections at Spectacle on Yonge Street...
Summer may not be the best time to break out the black leather pants unless you've got the matching Harley, but at least you can sport a tasteful bit of black, tan, or brown leather with Gucci's new 1943/S Shades:
Gucci 1943/S in Black Leather
With the entire surface of the frame including the temples and rim around the lens, swathed in leather, Gucci reminds us all that decadence comes in any material.
German design house Blinde, have been busy producing modern sunnies in a variety of materials. Characterized by distinct, wrapped frames that fit the contour's of the wearers head, designs by Blinde made waves in the eyewear world by providing the shades for the Matrix trilogy and since have been often imitated but never duplicated.
Blinde Now Behave, in Honey Yellow
The Now Behave model combines the classic, over-sized Jacky-O style with a distinct wrap which makes this style easier to wear on a wider range of face sizes.
Tom Ford's TF148 in Gold with Tortoise highlights
And for the Colin Firth in your life, look smashing in one of several men's aviators by Tom Ford including the TF148, a masculine shape with a touch of coloured acetate on the temples and eye-rim.
All of these sunnies are in stock and on sale at Spectacle on Yonge Street! Stop by today or into any Spectacle location to take advantage of 20% off select brands
