Taru & Koli is a brand new line housed only in the finest eyewear boutiques in the world.  Spectacle is currently the only Canadian retailer and it's quickly becoming one of our most popular, sought-after collections.  The eyeglasses and sunglasses come in a range of colours, patterns, lens shades, and styles so there is truly something for everyone in the line.

Mosley Tribes x Crooks & Castles Castellano 10th Anniversary Release

The Mosley Tribes x Crooks & Castles Castellano collaboration is back at Spectacle.  We are currently the only optical store in Canada to carry Crooks & Castles eyewear.  The re-release of the collection marks the 10-year anniversary of Crooks & Castles.  Available in two limited edition colour patterns, the shades come in either Matte Black or Tortoise, both with gold end pieces.

Spectacle would also like to take the time to mention our sadness at the loss of Christopher Lloyd Natalio, the Marketing Director for Crooks & Castles who passed away earlier this Summer.  Our thoughts are with the Crooks & Castles family.

The new Tavat sunglasses are now available at the Queen St. location!  Tavat began in 2010 in Pasadena California and all frames are hand made in Italy.  A company driven by design, Tavat creates based on the principles of independence, impeccable quality, and develops products which withstand the test of time.

Tavat frames are perfect for those in search of modernity, excellence, and refined elegance.  Although the designer, Professor Norman Schureman from the Art Center School of Design in Pasedena, passed away tragically, his designs live on throughout his colleagues and proteges.

The new Philippe Starck Biosun Collection has arrived at Spectacle!  We have the new frames available now at the Queen St. West location.

What makes Philippe Starck so great is that he strives to create frames that are imaginative and timeless.  Philippe Starck is trained in architecture which has helped him to create such interesting, unique frames.

The new Biosun collection offers a variety of 3 unique lens options including polycarbonate, polycarbonate polarized, and mineral glass.  Philippe’s architectural and designing background really comes out in his hinge design which is modelled after the human shoulder.  As always, the Biosun collection includes this feature as well!

Harry Lary and Thierry Lasry: Bright, Fun Style

Harry Lary's is a brand which was founded by Harry Lasry and has been taken over by his son, Thierry Lasry.  All of the frames are handmade in France.

The brand is driven by creativity and uniqueness and it really shows through their frame designs.  Another cool aspect of Harry Lary's collections is that it relies solely on its appearance to stir interest as it does not offer a visible logo anywhere when wearing the glasses.  With a heavy focus on coloured patterns and bright hues, Harry Lary's 2012 collection is perfect for Spring and Summer.  If you are the type who enjoys making a bold statement with your eyewear, Harry Lary may be the perfect brand for you!
