Jenny's Favourite Sunglasses: David Yurman!

David Yurman is an American designer who has worked with some of the world's biggest stars to create their looks.  Celebrity fans include Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Madonna... just to name a few.

According to Jenny, "I chose the David Yurman Sun DY058 because of it classic shape.  It's a very limited collection and the David Yurman signature cable pieces on the temple give it a very upscale and posh look."  David Yurman eyewear comes in a variety of shapes and colours so there is something complimentary for every face shape.

Barton Perreira x Mister Cartoon Collaboration Now at Spectacle

The highly anticipated collaboration from Barton Perreira x famed tattoo artist Mister Cartoon has arrived at Spectacle's Queen St. West boutique.  The sunglasses come in blue and black colour options and have a spider web logo that appears when you breath onto the lens.

The collaboration is a unique one, and the two designers came together over their mutual love of custom low-rider cars, music, and a deep admiration for Los Angeles.  The collection is a very limited release with only 200 of each colour produced, so get into Spectacle soon to pick up your pair!

Homage to Cari Zalloni

If you grew up in the 80's listening to rap (ie the Golden Age of Hip-Hop), there was nothing more iconic than Adidas shell-toes, Kangol hats, and Cazal sunglasses.

Cari Zalloni (CAri ZALloni), founder and designer of Cazal eyewear, has passed away this month.  He is famous for his amazing eyewear creations which are unique and distinguished.  Cari has said of the inspiration behind his frames that "a designer eyewear line that pleases everyone is unlikely to inspire, good design must be thought-provoking".

The new Tavat sunglasses are now available at the Queen St. location!  Tavat began in 2010 in Pasadena California and all frames are hand made in Italy.  A company driven by design, Tavat creates based on the principles of independence, impeccable quality, and develops products which withstand the test of time.

Tavat frames are perfect for those in search of modernity, excellence, and refined elegance.  Although the designer, Professor Norman Schureman from the Art Center School of Design in Pasedena, passed away tragically, his designs live on throughout his colleagues and proteges.
